Cree enters Korean LED market

February 4, 2015: Leading LED lighting manufacturer Cree has launched its illumination equipment business in Korea, giving high competition to the domestic lighting companies.

Cree said it will roll out LED lighting products like anti-glare Troffer series, high bay lights that can replace electronic discharge lamps at factories, and the XSP series that is widely used for streetlamps in the US.

Cree said its LED products have TrueWhite technology, which enhances quality of light color; NanoOptic technology that can diversify colors to produce optimized lighting effect; and DetaGuard finish technology that improves the durability of lighting devices.

So far, Cree was focused on LED components and modules in the Korean market, but now it will penetrate into the LED lighting gear market with its distributor True Light.

CREE?s distributor True Light is currently looking for local branch stores to represent different areas of Korea.

Cree?s global network is spread across 12 countries in the world including Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Japan, China, Sweden, and Italy. Its businesses include LED chips, LED components, and LED lighting from components to gears.
