Dec 8, 2017: According to LEDinside report, the global average sales prices (ASP) of LED bulbs was stable in November 2017. The global ASP of 40-watt equivalent LED bulb was US$ 6.2, a slight increase of 0.5%. The global ASP of 60-watt equivalent LED bulb increased slightly by 0.2% to US$7.4. Japan saw significant price slide while Europe witnessed price growth.
“Some brand vendors of LED light bulbs have lowered their prices since early October for the purpose of boosting sales,” said LEDinside analyst Allen Yu. “In November, the price of some products in Europe bounced back. However, in Japan, the market saw obvious price decline due to the vendors’ promotions and release of new products”.
The prices were stable in China’s LED package market in November despite slight decline in LED chip prices. However, the price decline did not have much impact on the industry. Many of China’s lighting LED package suppliers tend to expand their business to the automotive lighting market.
