Dec 9, 2016: The global average selling prices of LED bulbs dropped further in November 2016. This slip is greater than that in October 2016.
With major LED lighting brands launching their year-end promotions, and unveiling new low-priced LED lighting products, the prices of LED bulbs fell further in November.
The global average selling price of 40-watt and 60-watt equivalent LED light bulbs dropped by 2.9% and 2.7% respectively in November. They are now priced at US$9 and US$12.3, respectively. In October, the 40- and 60-watt equivalent LED light bulbs saw a decline of 0.6% in their global average selling prices. While 40-watt equivalent LED light bulbs was priced at at US$9.2, the 60-watt was priced at US$12.6.
However, the LED package market in China saw stable prices in November because chip prices were also stable. Prices of 2835 and 5630 LEDs was stable in November, reports LEDinside. On the other hand, prices of 3030 LEDs, which had slipped for some consecutive months, eased in November.
Many major US and South Korean manufacturers of high-power ceramic LED packages have reduced prices of their products, further pushing down the prices of LED bulbs.
