July 13, 2015: Matt Martin, a student of Auckland University of Technology, creates a perfect shirt that uses a combination of electronic devices to respond and detect the presence of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signals.
He constructed this shirt for his Masters of Creative Technologies project, using a pair of lithium polymer batteries, an Arudino Mega and 31 Neo pixel strips or more than a 1000 light producing diodes.
Martin makes sure that he mentions that all the lights are hand sewn as he writes about his trendy fashion piece in his blog.
Strolling along the streets of Auckland, Martin received a couple of intrigued locals asking about the purpose of his shirt, making sure that he wasn?t just a sort of Kiwi Cylon.
