Rejuvenate your skin with LED lights

By BizLED Bureau

October 5, 2015: Our skin can absorb infrared light and stimulate cellular regeneration using it as a source of energy. The impact of LED light therapy on the skin and body has been scientifically proved.

It is claimed that LED light therapy can take care of many types of skin problems. It can remove acne, calm eczema and rosacea, prevent wrinkles, and heal scares. Not only that, LED light therapy promises to be totally painless. This sounds too good to be true.

Spas that offer LED skin therapy promise that LED lights can energize, rejuvenating, relieve stress.

LED light goes deep into the skin to heal the problems. The healing benefits of LED light was first found by NASA when researchers discovered that cells exposed to LED light grow 150% to 200% faster than cells which are not exposed to LED light.

How it works

LED lamps produce infrared light like photo rejuvenation, which stimulates fibroblast cell in the skin. This, in turn, increases the production of collagen and elastin, which are proteins that tone up the skin and make it elasticity.

When LED light falls on the skin, it feels relaxing and comfortable. It is painless and totally safe for any age, colour or skin type, and can be used on any part of the body.

Unique treatment with unique colour

Each LED light colour offers a different benefit?while violet colour is anti-bacterial and heals blackheads; green colour which is anti-inflammatory can heal rosacea. Orange colour can lighten up the skin tone, and red heals collagen and intracellular ATP production, which in turn reduces wrinkles, and finally blue colour soothes cures acne.

Red LED light with wavelengths of 630 to 700 nm goes deep down the tissue of about 10 mm. This is beneficial in treating wounds, scars, cuts, and infections. Infrared light of wavelength 800 to 1000nm penetrates 40mm deep and provides relief for ailments of joints, bones, joints, muscle tissue, etc.

Different tissue and cell of the body have unique colour light absorption capability. For example, skin layers absorb red light because of their high blood and water content. Phosphorus and calcium absorb light of a different wavelength.

So, LED light therapy can dramatically tighten the skin, smooth wrinkles, cure rough spots, clean blemishes, soften redness, and shrink pore size. In addition, as we have seen above, LED light therapy can treat muscle and joint pain, back pain, muscle spasms, sprains, etc.

The FDA regulates products that claim health benefits. Do your products have FDA approval?

  6. It is a known fact that IR does help . We have had “Infrasil” an IR rich lamp made by Philips that worked well for years as a soothing pain reliever for decades. IR LEDs provide the same radiation with lesser power and more accuracy. Sounds good. I would still appreciate if you can point out any scientific studies and regulatory studies were done and if so, what are the results. Thanks for this eye opening article.
