September 26, 2014: Sabic?s technology centre in Bengaluru hosts over 300 scientists. Saudi Arabian petrochemical major Sabic?s $100-mn technology centre in Bengaluru is one of 17 Sabic global R&D centres of excellence. It carries out cutting-edge research on new platforms for next-generation materials.

The state-of-the-art Sabic Technology Center (STC) which was opened in Bengaluru on November 29, 2013, is built with an initial investment of $ 100 million. The STC, with an area of 187,000 sqm, is home to over 300 scientists from India.

India is an important market for us in Asia, which is why our investment here is significant,? said Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thenayan Al-Saud, Chairman of Sabic and Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu, at a press briefing.
