Apr 6, 2016: The power major, Tata Power has come with up with a scheme under which it is offering a variety of LED products to the consumers at rebates of up to 60% with the aim to support energy conservation. The company has entered into a contract with Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd (CGCEL) to carry out the scheme.
Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd (TPDDL) consumers in north and north west Delhi can avail the benefits of the plan. A TPDDL spokesperson said that LED lighting products with 11 varieties like
down lighters, tubelights, panels wil be offered to the consumers at inexpensive rates to boost the penetration of LED which will lead towards energy reduction and saving in the electricity bills of the consumers.
The scheme will run for a period of six months during which the LED goods will be obtainable at counters that will be set up at TPDDL customer care centers from Mondays to Fridays between 10 AM and 5 PM and between 10 AM and 1 PM on Saturdays.
The firm said displacing of FTLs and CFLs with LED substitutes will aid in bringing energy savings of up to 40 to 50% and the goods will carry an assurance of two years with the exemption of LED bulbs where the guarantee period will be of three years.
